Shikha’s introduction to homemade chocolates was during her first visit to South Indian destinations like Ooty, Kodaikanal, and Kerala. Though homemade chocolates was an interesting concept, it was carried out in an unorganized manner. She and her husband thought of introducing this concept to remaining parts of the country in a professional and organized manner. This was the beginning of a business idea.
During the interview, she mentioned how her family members didn’t support the idea initially. They didn’t want her to leave her high paid white collar IT job and get into entrepreneurship. Shikha concluded the interview with Startup Idols with two tips for upcoming start-ups, “First, never compromise on quality and second, always fulfill your commitment.” She also told us that her brand has always rejected such requests of compromise on quality and at MoShik’s they take commitment as the topmost priority.
